Experience folk legends and historical tales as the Puppet Troupe of the Henan Opera and Dance Theater performs traditional Chinese puppetry to celebrate the Lunar New Year!
Founded in 1958, the Puppet Troupe of the Henan Opera and Dance Theater aims to promote traditional Chinese culture among children. As the main puppet show company of Henan Province, the troupe has since its establishment produced and performed a variety of popular puppet plays including Heroic Two Sisters of the Grassland, The Legend of White Snake, Peter & Wolves, Snow White, and The Adventure of A Little Puppet. Many of the plays have won provincial and national awards. Being one of the most active in China, the troupe has performed across the country and frequently toured overseas for the last six decades.
