The Bryan Museum Gala Goes Retro for a Special Celebration, Balinese Style

Celebrate the incredible history of the Balinese Room with an homage to the exciting celebration of the storied nightclub of yesteryear! This year’s gala for the Bryan Museum brings guests back in time to the most notorious ballroom in Galveston’s past, where gangster and gamblers rubbed elbows with big-name stars. Hosted and emceed by beloved Houstonian Frank Billingsley, the gala will feature a cocktail party preview of prizes, gourmet dinner stations, casino gambling and raffles, and a musical performance by Grammy-winning artist Lyle Lovett, all to benefit the mission of The Bryan Museum.

Attendants are encouraged to embrace the theme of the evening and come dressed in your best retro fashion of the 40’s! Get in the spirit and party like it’s the prohibition for this fun, festive, and fundraising event!

In addition, The Bryan Museum will present its first annual Buck ‘n Ball Award to the Honorable James A. Baker, III for his lifelong dedication to public service. The Buck ‘n Ball Award recognizes distinguished individuals with roots in Texas and the American West who have demonstrated extraordinary resolve and history-changing achievements in their careers. It is sure to be a night of celebratory cheer and historical fun!
