Native Houstonian and two-time international champion magician, Ben Jackson, is giving the ancient art form of magic a face-lift.
In 2010, Houston magician Ben Jackson became one of the youngest magicians to win 1st place at the World Magic Seminar’s International Close-up Magic Competition in Las Vegas, NV. Most recently, Ben won first place at the United States National Close-up Magic Competition at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas. He was also awarded the Medal of Merit, an honor that has only been awarded seven times since 1902. With an unprecedented “triple win” from the oldest and most prestigious magic society, it’s safe to say that Ben Jackson is taking the magic world by storm.
Jackson has performed on NBC’s Today Show with David Copperfield, as the hands of Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the film Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and was America’s magician in disguise on Candid Camera. Now, Jackson performs an intimate monthly show, Magic, Music & Mayhem, inside Houston’s historic gem, La Colombe d’Or Hotel.

Guests wander up to the 3rd floor of the former Fondren Mansion, cocktails in hand, and witness an unbelievable 90-minute performance mere inches from their seats.
Jackson effortlessly mixes sleight-of-hand, witty commentary, feats of the mind, and dazzling piano playing. Audience age minimum for this event is 12 years old.
